Walk No 238 Walkers Hammerwich 5.0 Mile Walk Thursday 5rd June 2025 Starting from the Village of Hammerwich this is a pleasant local countryside walk using lanes, tracks and field footpaths. There are four or five stiles en-route. The route is supplied by the Walsall Group of Ramblers and published in the May/June edition of the Pioneer Magazine. Base Point :- The base point and parking for walkers is The Square in Hammerwich WS7 0NA. The Square is in fact triangular piece of land bounded on two of the sides by Hall Lane and Meerash Lane and occupied by Hammerwich Community Centre. Park at the roadside. Meet at 9.45 for a 10.00am start Amblers :- Amblers should make their own arrangements for Morning coffee. For Amblers, the pub is perhaps best reached by taking the A461, Lichfield ,from Muckley Corner and then turning left at a roundabout onto the A5190 towards Burntwood and then filtering left after passing traffic lights (signed Chorley to the right ) Lunch:- Lunch is booked for 1.15pm at The Star Hotel, Lichfield Road, Burntwood WS7 0HJ Tele. 01543 684607.
